I love that there is now a place I can walk into (and will never judge me) when I crave belgian waffles at like, 10 in the evening. ------->
You invest in a professional camera, only to be stopped by security saying "sorry, ma'am, but you can't take photos here." Streets are adorned with "no photography" signs — but what about street style photography? Visitors in public places would appreciate it if you won't get them in the shot — but seriously, how, if there are ten of them in the same area?
Suffice it to say, I wouldn't consider this city to be one of the fashion blogger-friendly places. Try as I might, I couldn't simply brush off all the dirty looks from strangers when I'm trying to get the perfect shot of my food, my coffee, or even my outfit. But I'm not complaining. Isn't this the perfect instance of "constraints can make you more creative"?
*I totes got this*
But if anything, all these constraints just make me very, very excited when cool restaurants and cafes open. We were at the opening of Santa Monica Breakfast Club, a laid-back restaurant that serves your favorite comfort food — BURGERRR, pizza, waffles, breakfast (served even at night, thanks so much), freakshakes, etc.
